On Thursday December 6th around 1630hours, Harrisburg Fire Department was dispatched to the vehicle fire near Hickory Ridge High School. While En-route Engine 1 advised heavy smoke showing. Harrisburg Engine 2 arrived on scene to find a landscaping truck with its contents heavily involved with fire and began suppression. Engine 1 assisted with suppression and overhaul.

Robinson, Newell and Harrisburg were alerted for a working house fire with children trapped on Starwood Avenue in Mecklenburg County. Newell Engine 2 arrived to find heavy fire showing from a 2-story wood framed house. Harrisburg arrived and assisted with suppression and a primary search. The fire was controlled in 19 minutes. The house was a total loss. No one was injured in the fire. Harrisburg Engine 1 was on scene for about 3 hours conducting overhaul.
