Harrisburg assisted Robinson and Newell on a working house fire. Harrisburg Engine 2 arrived first on scene to find a two story house with heavy fire coming from the attic. Harrisburg crews advanced a 2 1/2 attack line to the 2nd floor as a Robinson crew also advanced a 1 3/4 attack line. Due to shortage of water and manpower additional units were called in from Charlotte FD, Mint Hill FD and Flowes Store VFD. Harrisburg, Robinson and Newell along with Flowes Store VFD stayed into the early morning hours for salvage and overhaul operations. Cause of the fire is under investigation, however lightning from a strong thunderstorm is suspected.
